Well Completions Design
The majority of well completions can be modelled with PROSPER.
The tool can be used to model reservoir inflow performance (IPR) for single, multilayer, or multilateral wells with complex and highly deviated completions, optimising all aspects of a completion design including perforation details and gravel packing.
The design and evaluation of the different well completions can be studied.
The main well completions that can be designed and modelled with PROSPER are:
- Naturally flowing wells
- Artificially Lifted Wells
- Electric Submersible Pump - ESP
- Gas Lifted
- Hydraulic Multi-phase Pumps - HSP
- Progressive Cavity Pumps - PCP
- Jet Pumps
- Sucker Rod Pumps - Beam Pumps
- Injection of Diluents
- Gravel Pack Completions
- Multi-layer Wells
- Smart well designs
- Multi-lateral Wells
- Angled Wells
- Horizontal Wells
The well flow configuration that can be modeled are:
- Tubing
- Annular flow
- Tubing + Annular flow
- Producer or Injector
Multilateral Wells
PROSPER has a rigorous approach to model the inflow into multilateral wells, accounting for the interference between individual branches and friction losses in the completion.
This model is capable of performing and displaying detailed pressure and inflow profiles that can be used to diagnose what is coming from where in the multilateral completion
Models intelligent well completions -SMART- with down-hole chokes, etc
The model can handle Oil, Gas, and Retrograde Condensates
Both injectors and producer with or without artificial lift, can be modelled
