Fluid Property Options

Petroleum Experts have developed an approach to characterise PVT from the reservoir to the separator.  Various techniques have been implemented in PVTP to achieve the fluid characterization objective.

The fluid characterization and validation techniques used in PVTP deliver the necessary confidence in applying the characterized fluid to accurately predict multiphase fluid behaviour through the production path to process.

PVTP fluid modelling options can be black oil or full EOS.

Traditional Black Oil modelling techniques have been applied within PVTP to model:

Calibration of the fluid to Laboratory Data is also available.

PVTP's black oil fluid calibration technique uses values of the measured fluid properties known at surface conditions to predict the properties through the production path.

PVTP's EOS characterization workflows deliver a multitude of options that can be applied to achieve complex fluid characterization via the Advanced Splitting dialogue.

EOS characterization is matched to measured laboratory data.  Laboratory experimental calculations are available in PVTP enabling final analyses of the characterized EOS to accurately predict measured fluid properties.

PVTP has several density modelling techniques available, ensuring saturated liquid density prediction and exact fluid property data transfer when dynamically linking the integrated petroleum engineering model to process simulators.
