| This 5-day course is targeted at geologists that have previously attended the Standard Integrated Structural Geology Course or those who have a strong structural geology background and are familiar with the MOVE software. This course will provide attendees with best practise workflows for preparing and analysing 2D section interpretations. This will include conditioning and QC of interpretations, producing valid 2D geological models and, importantly, quantifying and minimizing geological uncertainties. The format of the course encourages attendees to learn through problem solving, to allow them to approach their own projects with added confidence. Some of the problems they will learn to solve include checking if their interpretation makes geological sense, testing different conceptual models and restoring interpretations through geological time. Attendees will learn how to formulate and apply advanced structural geology workflows and analyses, where key economic decisions are dependent on integration of modelling results and outcomes.
The course uses practical exercises and the MOVE Software Suite as required. It is largely hands-on, introducing the theory and principles underlying the application of structural geology analysis in extractive industries such as oil & gas and mining.||Agenda|
