Five teams, one contract to keep. PETEX's Digital Oil Field platform delivered daily automated guidelines to balance LNG demand and revenue.

Few challenges are tougher than keeping a gas supply contract honoured, month after month, when the field itself keeps changing. This operator had offshore gas condensate wells feeding multiple LNG trains via long multiphase pipelines — and had to constantly balance changing gas demand against getting the most value from condensate, all while protecting long-term reservoir health.

To complicate things further, many wells behaved unpredictably: their gas-to-oil ratio shifted depending on how hard they were produced, which affected both revenue optimisation and pipeline flow assurance. At least five different teams were involved in producing operating guidelines, often without the shared information they needed to move quickly.

PETEX's Digital Oil Field platform brought rigorous physics to this puzzle. It combined validated engineering models with real-time surveillance and optimisation, giving teams daily, automatically-checked guidelines and the flexibility to react instantly to unplanned events — from a sudden spike in demand to a pipeline pigging operation. The result: contractual LNG demand met reliably, condensate revenue maximised, and engineers able to make fast, confident decisions when the unexpected happened.
