About this Vacancy

We are seeking a key technical engineering contact who will be responsible for enhancing the company's clients’ technical understanding of Petex petroleum software engineering products & technology.

What you will do:

- Promote & expand the use & sale of petroleum engineering software products in areas of integrated modeling & their engineering applications.

- Provide technical engineering presentations introducing the company's products & services to existing & potential clients, & arrange for engineering software demonstrations & application of technology for clients’ engineering teams incl. configuration of products.

- Assist existing & prospective national & international oil industry clients in North & South America (incl. Pemex, Shell, Chevron, ExxonMobil, Petrobras & others) with performing engineering & technology evaluation stages of the company's products & services.

- Act as point of contact with Spanish speaking clients (some are govt. owned) in Mexico & Latin American countries (incl. Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador).

- Provide support via phone, email, and in person in Spanish language to diagnose problems with installed Petex software products & when visiting clients’ offices to address technical configuration of engineering applications to deliver operational value & decision-making ability.

- Provide presentations, registration portals, & legal frameworks plus tender documents in Spanish language to Spanish speaking clients.

- Apply knowledge of Petex petroleum software engineering products & their application in oil & gas industry to maximize engineering benefits from Integrated Production Modelling (IPM) & Digital Oil Field (DOF) product suites.

- Maintain understanding of Petex products to develop, present or respond to proposals for customer specific requirements & develop their expertise as new functionality is released.

- Complete site visits, liaise with clients’ management re. technical engineering aspects of current & potential projects while visiting clients. 

Skills

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering 

  • 4 years of experience as an engineering professional or consultant in oil & gas industry managing existing & developing new client relationships promoting & expanding use & sale of petroleum engineering software products in area of integrated modeling & their engineering applications. 

  • Read, write & speak Spanish. 

  • Travel requirements: 27%to client sites in South America & Mexico; 3% to U.S. client sites in Texas, Louisiana and Colorado and 1% to parent co. headquarters in UK.
